Egypt: Protesters Heading to Shura Council Teargassed
25 January 2013
Security forces on Friday tear-gassed hundreds of protesters headed Cairo's Shura Council, an Aswat Masriya witness reported.
The Popular Current earlier urged its members and the protesters rallied in Tahrir Square to besiege the Shura Council.
In a statement issued today, the current which former presidential candidate Hamdeen Sabahi founded called on the demonstrators to besiege the council since it "lacks popular legitimacy".
