Egypt: 2nd Field Army Deployed in Port Said to Restore Security

The Second Field Army troops are deployed in Port Said city to help restore security and stability in the Canal city, Commander Ahmed Wasfi said Saturday 26/01/2013.

The troops will also act to secure public property and facilities, Wasfi added.

The move is undertaken on the backdrop of acts of riot that are now rife in the city after a court ruling that was issued earlier in the day sentencing to death 21 of Ultras Masrawi, who were involved in the Port Said Stadium massacre case.
