Sokoto — Three children have reportedly died in a fire incident at Nakasari area, Sokoto South local government area.

The incident was said to have occurred Friday night in the house of one Alhaji Saidu Galadima.

The affected children were given as: Hauwawu Galadima,Bello Galadima and Mariam Galadima ages between 10 and 14.

The cause of the inferno which engulfed the house was yet to be ascertained.

According to Saidu Galadima, frantic efforts were made to save the children but to no avail.

He said property worth millions of naira were destroyed in the inferno.

The fire was said to have been brought under control by men of the fire service.
