Nigeria: Renard Still Hopeful Despite Nigeria Draw

Nelspruit — The Chipolopolo of Zambia Head Coach Herve Renard has said that his side is still hope of beating Burkina Faso of Tuesday to qualify for the quarter final of the ongoing 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.

Renard, who stated this at a post match media briefing here in Nelspruit, also said he was satisfied with the point taken from the 1-1 draw with Nigeria.

Chipolopolo now have two points and have a fair shot at making the knockout stages, the Renard believes.

"I think it was a very tactical game and we made a very big mistake when we conceded our goal," said the Frenchman, now in his second spell with the defending champions.

"With the circumstances I think we can be very happy with the result. - don't forget we had the Super Eagles in front of us and they did not lose one game in 2012. We are still alive and in a good way to get the qualification to the next round."
