Angola: President's Efforts to Sports Development Highlighted

Lubango — The State secretary for Sports, Albino da Conceição, Saturday in Lubango, stressed the commitment of the President of the Republic, José Eduardo dos Santos, towards the development of sports and support to the Angolan Youth.

Speaking at the ceremony of the national day of sports, Albino da Conceição said that the Head of State has placed in the sports development priorities as well as support to programs for youth groups in the country.

He noticed that the strategic magnitude of President Jose Eduardo dos Santos has allowed that policies in the field of sports yield positive results, as there were scheduled actions for the rehabilitation and construction of sports infrastructure.

Albino da Conceição also noted that the province of Huila has been exemplary for the growth of the sport.

"This means that Huila can contribute greatly in spreading programme that the executive intends to run until 2024, with the involvement of over 26 million citizens to practice the sport," stressed the Secretary.
