Sudan: Hunt for Herder Murderers Leaves Another Two Dead, Central Darfur

Wadi Saleh — The hunt for an armed group who murdered a herder last Thursday in Central Darfur leaves two civilians dead and two injured on account of clashes that erupted during the chase.

Militants opened fire and killed a herder at the Ibada area, Wadi Saleh locality, and looted his cows, eyewitnesses told Radio Dabanga.

They said residents of the area gathered a "rescue team" to hunt down the perpetrators, who were found at the Anjektwa area on Friday, 25 January.

Both sides clashed, leading to the death of two civilians and to the injury of two others, sources said.

The gunmen reportedly fled and took the cows with them.
