Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority Mohab Memish affirmed that navigation in the Suez Canal's waterway was moving normally.
He pointed out that all security measures usually pursued during such incidents by the Armed Forces and security bodies have been adopted to safeguard the international waterway.
Forty-four ships transited the Suez Canal on Saturday 26/1/2013, carrying a total cargo of 2.2 million tons.
