Kiambu Senior Clergy Forum yesterday endorsed former Rockefeller Foundation boss James Nyoro for governor.
Speaking during a meeting at Mianzi hotel, chairman Macmillan Kiiru of Anglican Church Sigona, said Nyoro is a man of integrity who is morally upright and is free of corruption allegations.
Kiiru said Nyoro being a deacon in Christ is the Answer Ministries, formerly Nairobi Pentecostal Church, will make a good leader who will be both a steward and a servant to his people.
Limuru Senior Clergy chairman Gerishon Njoroge, said Kiambu needs a leader who will get rid of drugs in schools. He said Nyoro would uphold the church's values which would address moral decay in society.
On his part, Nyoro said having worked at Rockefeller, he has worked closely with the government and has handled over 60 million dollars which is the equivalent of about Sh 5billion.
He said once elected, he shall create wealth by concentrating on agriculture, up-grading the Dagoretti slaughter house and putting industries back to work so that we Kiambu can become self-sufficient.
