Kenya: Simba Energy Gets Down to Work in Wajir

CANADIAN firm Simba Energy, a pan african oil and gas exploration firm has opened an office in Wajir where drilling area block 2A is located.

Simba Energy said the office in Wajir will act as the regional head office for upcoming operation which include additional seismic activities and will be manned by local employees.

"This is an auspicious time for Simba as the Company continues to focus on its ground activities in and around Wajir. We also look forward to developing our relationship with the local districts and regional councils," said the firm's head of operations Hassan Hassan.

Simba Energy had been in the country for the last two years before recently acquiring its first exploration block. It believes the oil deposits estimated to be at the block are to a size of about one billion barrels.
