Kenya: Nairobi Prepares for an Indo-Asian Expo

The first ever Indo-Asian Trade and Cultural Expo will be held from February 1-10 at SSD Hall, Lower Kabete Road.

The event will showcase goods from 90 International exhibitors and 30 Kenyan exhibitors from various sectors like wholesalers, traders, importers, exporters, manufacturers, business entrepreneurs, real estate developers and artisans among others.

Speaking at the launch of the event, Rajasthan Works MD Anupam Jain, exuded confidence that the said expo would be not only be full of pomp and colour but will bring Kenya closer to Asia. He said they chose Kenya as a destination because of its stability and impressive economic growth.

Organised by Rajasthan Works limited in association with Inmersion limited the event will have African cultural Groups drawn from Uganda, Burundi, Kenya and Tanzania performing. As well as Indian Cultural Groups like Rajasthani Lok Kala Sangh and Bollywood Singer from Zee TV Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Gaurav Jain and Sony Indian Idol fame Megha Sharma.

There will also be a kids zone and a live demonstration of handmade products and jewelry making. Guest Indian chefs from Asoka Restaurant who will showcase mouthwatering, tasty pure vegetarian food.

Also in the offing is a fashion show featuring the latest designs, jewelry and bridal wear by top Kenyan models sponsored by the Lavi's Shop in Westgate.
