Pop in at Mama's:

Last week, I was caught up in the Nairobi traffic and decided to pull into ABC Place to get a cold drink before resuming the traffic hustle. On my way out, I passed this coffee shop called Mama's.

It was so cute, with a pink and black theme, white chairs and chandeliers. I drove around and back into ABC Place, parked and then went in. They had cakes, pastries... all you can imagine. My face really lit up. I stayed for an hour then got back into my car and headed home.

Not just wines:

So I get a call from my friend to meet up for lunch. I insist on one of my usual lunch spots. They joke and say, "Today you are trying something new! We are going to Wines of the World Bar and Restaurant at The Junction!" "No, I want Caesar Salad," I protest.

I'm informed that they have that on the menu. I kick up a big fuss but all in vain. So I agree to try something new and happy days! I've got a new place to have lunch.

Their Caesar Salad is the best in town ( so far) and their steak is awesome. And while you wait, I would recommend you try one of their cheese or salami platters.

Get back into it:

This is a polite reminder to lock down your hobby or activity for the year if you haven't already. Research show that starting a new hobby at the start of the year is better and you are more likely to stick to it the whole year. So if you've always wanted to do golf, swim, hit the gym, collect stamps, now is the time to do it all.
