AUTO Logistics Services on last week donated 100 chairs to St Catherine's Zimcare Trust Junior School.
The donation was handed over to the school's headmistress, Mrs Charity Matanhire, by Willowvale
Mazda Industries managing director Engineer Dawson Mareya.
The donation was in line with the Auto Logistics Services' social responsibility programme aimed at reaching out to the less priviledged.
Mrs Matanhire said that while they were appreciative of the donation, they still had many more things they would want to be assisted with such as food, stationery, non-prescription drugs such as paracetamol and cough mixture, computers, risograph, radios, kitchen urn and wheelbarrows.
"We also need a 35KVA generator, a greenhouse, hosepipes, sofas, durawall as well as a tractor," she said.
St Catherine's, which is situated in Eastlea, Harare, is a special school that caters for boys and girls aged five to 18 years with learning difficulties.
Its aim is to provide the highest possible standards of comfort, care education and training for special children some of whom are orphaned while some come from poor socio-economic backgrounds.
