Nigeria: Over N50 Million m Property Lost in Gombe Market Inferno

Gombe — The fire incident at the palm oil section of Gombe main market which took fire fighters more than two hours to put off destroyed more than 60 shops and property worth over N50 million.

Chairman of the palm oil sellers' union at the market, Malam Yahaya Sanusi, told Weekly Trust that the fire was caused by electric fault from a refrigerator in one of the shops in the market.
