Zambia/Burkina Faso: Govt Ups Chipolopolo Perks for Burkina Faso

Government has increased the winning bonus for Chipolopolo for Tuesday's game against Burkina Faso from US $8,500 to US $11,000 each.

Sports minister Chishimba Kambwili has confirmed the increase as a way of motivating the team which is at the brink of being eliminated in the first round despite being defending champions.

Kambwili said Zambia is under pressure and that they need to play with commitment to ensure passage to the quarter finals.

The Chipolopolo have so far accumulated two points from the last two draws against Ethiopia and Nigeria and will need to win the next game for them to qualify to the quarter finals of the tournament.
