Tunis — The Transport Ministry announced in a statement published Friday in Tunis, that a shipping line will be created between Tunisia and Libya to be provided officially on February 17, 2013 by the Tunisian Shipping Company (CTN).
The establishment of this line was the focus of debates held Friday between Transport Minister Abdelkarim Harouni and Libyan Secretary of State in charge of Land Transport and Roads.
The meeting was also an occasion to examine means to boost co-operation between the Tunisian Shipping Company (CTN) and the Libyan National Shipping Company, concerning the rent of crude oil transport ships between the Skhira port (central east) and that of Bizerte (north).
The same source underlined that this co-operation will be materialised by signing an agreement between the companies mentioned above.
The talk also provided the occasion to evoke the co-operation fields between Tunisia and Libya in the sectors of land, air and sea transports.
