Namibia: Murderous Violence Just Won't Go Away

Windhoek — Last Thursday at 23h00 at Okatumba Cattle Post in Okahao Constituency in Omusati Region, a 24-year-old Angolan national was stabbed several times in the back and on the left arm with a pocketknife after a quarrel with the suspect.

The victim sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Okahao State Hospital.

According to information provided yesterday by the Namibian police, the victim was transferred to Oshakati Intermediate Hospital for further treatment.

The suspect has not been arrested.

Last Thursday at about 17h00 at Simanya village in Kahenge Constituency, Johannes Kambinda (62) was found dead in his bedroom. The body was taken to the police mortuary and a postmortem will be conducted soon. The next of kin has been informed. Police investigations continue.
