Gambia: IEC - Nomination Forms Will Be Issued Today

The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) has announced that the nomination forms for the prospective candidates in the forthcoming Local Government Elections will be issued out today, Monday 28th January 2013.

A media dispatch from the Commission states that these forms are free of charge and can be collected from the IEC Regional offices across the country or at the Election House along Bertil Harding Highway.

It could be recalled that the Independent Electoral Commission in pursuance of Section 193 of the Constitution of the Republic of The Gambia and Section 9 of the Local Government Act 2002 will conduct the Local Government Elections on 4th April 2013.
