Tunisia: Marzouki Signs in Addis Ababa Three Conventions With African Commission

Addis Ababa — Caretaker President Moncef Marzouki signed on Sunday in Addis Ababa three conventions with the African commission.

These conventions relate to the African pact of good governance and elections, the African pact of fight against corruption and the African amended pact on land transport.

Marzouki affirmed on the occasion Tunisia's commitment to implement all the African conventions so as to promote relations with the African continent, adding that the signing on Saturday of the convention on the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) confirms that Tunisia is now ready to host an AU commission which will assess government action.

This commission will contribute to provide a new image of Tunisia within the AU and show its permanent commitment to the principles of democracy and transparency, Marzouki declared.
