Tanzania: Five Patients Arrive After Heart Surgeries in India

LAST group of five heart patients that was in India for heart treatment has arrived in Dar es Salaam after successful heart surgeries.

The patients arrived at the Julius Nyerere International Airport from Narayana Hrudayalaya Heart Institute, Bangalore.

They were received by their host, the Lions Club of Dar es Salaam. According to the Convener of Heart Surgery in Lions Club of Dar es Salaam (host) Lion Dr Rajni Kanabar, all patients are in good condition after the operations.

The group travelled to India under the banner of Lions Club of Dar-es-Salaam in collaboration with Regency Medical Centre, Ministry of Health Zanzibar, Satya Sai Society of Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, Satya Sai Heart Institute- Rajkot, Narayana Hrudayalaya Heart Hospital, and Fortis Escort Heart Hospital in New Delhi.

"On behalf of the President of Lions Club of Dar-es- Salaam (Host)- Lion Nimira Gangji and entire membership of the Club, we are pleased to announce that the last group of Heart Children after expert investigations, treatment and successful Heart Surgeries is returning back home (Tanzania) with their escorts and 1 nurse - Sis Tabassum," Dr Kanabar said.

President of Lions Club of Dar-es-Salaam (Host) - Lion Nimira Gangji, said the Club expects to send more heart patients to renowned hospitals in India after fund raising programme in coming 2 months.

"On behalf of his entire team of Heart Baby Project would like to convey special thanks to Regency Medical Centre who facilitated the medical reports and other medical arrangements for the batch" she said.
