THE United States of America (US) Embassy has honoured Western Province Permanent Secretary Emmanuel Mwamba with a certificate of appreciation for his leadership role.
The certificate is signed by US Ambassador to Zambia, Mark Storella and public affairs officer, Priscilla Hernandez.
It was presented to Mr Mwamba on Friday in honour of his work in Northern Province.
This is according to a statement released by Mr Mwamba in Chipata yesterday.
Mr Mwamba said in September last year, Mr Storella led a 13-member delegation to Kasama in Northern Province to tour United States Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded projects by cycling to all the projects.
The Northern Province administration, where Mr Mwamba was Permanent Secretary at the time, hosted Mr Storella.
During his visit, Mr Storella paid courtesy calls on Senior Chief Mwamba and then Provincial Minister Freedom Sikazwe.
He later toured USAID and Development Aid from People to People (DAPP)-funded school programmes at Ituna High School in Kasama.
Mr Storella also witnessed a freedom-of-expression discussion at Kasama Library and later toured projects in Mbala and Mpulungu.
