South Africa: Sandf Conducts Search and Rescue Mission During the Flooding in Mpumalanga and Limpopo Provinces

The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) has successfully conducted search and rescue mission during the flooding in both Limpopo and Mpumalanga provinces. Heavy flooding has resulted in distress and a need for humanitarian assistance.

Four Oryx helicopters from the South African Air Force have since been deployed in Makhado and Hoedspruit. Sixty people have been airlifted off the life-threatening situation by the South African National Defence Force.

The South African Military Health Service is also on standby to render humanitarian support.
