Egypt: Qandil Calls for Dealing Firmly With Saboteurs

Prime Minister Hisham Qandil made a surprise tour of Tahrir Square early Monday 28/1/2013 to inspect police troops deployed in Tahrir. Qandil was in Tahrir Square as two thugs were caught with white weapons and big sums of money.

In a telephone conversation with Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim, Qandil stressed the need to deal firmly with saboteurs who attack police troops and vital facilities.

Qandil will meet with Ibrahim later on Monday to discuss the security situation in Suez Canal cities.

He will also chair a ministerial meeting to prepare for a national dialogue.
