Kenya: Teachers Sign Agreement With Joho, Kajembe
By Brian Otieno
Teachers in Mombasa at the weekend signed an agreement with governor aspirant Hassan Joho and his senator counterpart Ramadhan Kajembe. The MoU demands that the two will improve the lot of teachers if they are elected in the March 4 elections.
Kenya National Union of Teachers and Kenya Primary School Heads Association presented the MoU to the two at the Sheikh Zayed Welfare Hall in Mombasa.
The agreement also says the two should ensure that teachers have better housing, bursary and scholarships for teachers and pupils. It further says there should be construction of more schools in the six constituencies.
