The National Council for Persons with Disabilities yesterday called upon political parties to adhere to the constitutional requirement of giving five percent of the elective posts to special groups.
Chairman Halake Boru said they may have to go to court if parties fail to include persons with disability on their nomination lists. Boru was speaking while on a two day trip to Isiolo and Laisamis where he urged the communities to shun cultures and traditional beliefs where pastoral people hide children with disabilities.
