Togo Sets Date for Parliamentary Elections
Parliamentary elections will be held in Togo on 24 March 2013. The election was initially scheduled for October 2012, but protests and strikes asking for electoral reforms delayed the process.
Togo has a unicameral National Assembly with 81 seats; whose members are elected through a closed-list proportional representation system to serve 5-year terms and 35 multi-member Constituencies.
Parliamentary election was last held in 14th October, 2007.
