Rwanda: Goran Calls for Total Focus Against Marines

League leaders Police FC host Marines on Tuesday in a match head coach Goran Kopunovic has called on his players not to lose their concentration as they did in the last game against La Jeunesse.

The Serb told Times Sport yesterday, "We are lucky because we are still on top despite only managing a draw against La Jeunesse, but we need to be fully focused tomorrow (today) and avoid making similar mistakes as we did on Saturday."

"I have told the players to keep their focus until the last minute. Marines is a good side, they denied us the title last season by beating us (1-0) in a game we needed to win to keep out hopes alive," he stated.

On striker Meddie Kagere, Goran said, "He lost many months without playing and as a national team players, this was not good him. I need to be patient with him. I have told him to work hard to regain his best form and am sure he will be back to his top form."

Ex-skipper Kagere scored the opening goal for Police in their 2-all draw against La Jeunesse over the weekend.

Police host Marines without two of their suspended players goalie Alex Nganza and midfielder Moussa Hakizimana. The Cops team lead the standings with 29 points, three ahead of rivals Rayon Sport and SC Kiyovu.
