Nigeria: 'Igbo Comfortable With Apga'

Osogbo — A socio-political group based in Anambra State, the Project 2 million votes, has said the Igbo race is comfortable with the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) as a political party and that it is ready to mobilise support for the party in all elections in the South East.

The group urged the people of Anambra state to vote for APGA candidates in the forthcoming governorship election in the state with assurance that the party will continue to deliver dividends of democracy to the people.

Coordinator of the group who is also APGA's former national youth leader, Chukwunyere Ikechukwu said the group is embarking on the project with intent to garner adequate support for APGA in the next Anambra State governorship election in November.

He said the group is emboldened to campaign for APGA due to the high performance by governors elected on the platform of the party especially Chief Rochas Okorocha of Imo.

"We want to collate signature of at least 2 million eligible voters in Anambra who will vote for APGA in the election. We have already collated over 300,000 signatures of these potential voters less than a week into the exercise. APGA has come to stay in the South-East and we also wish to use this medium to pass vote of confidence in the leadership of the party," he said.
