Nigeria: Attitudinal Change Key to Better Education - Maku

Enugu — Nigerians must change their attitudes if the country's education sector is to work, Information Minister Labaran Maku has said.

He spoke yesterday when the National Good Governance Tour team inspected ongoing projects at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State.

Earlier, the team inspected the ongoing rehabilitation of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu. The project, which cost N640 million, has been slated for completion in March.

He urged contractors handling the project to expedite work so as to meet the deadline. The team also inspected the Nkwo-Nike-Opi road, which has been billed for completion March. Enugu State Commissioner for Works, Godwin Madueke, said 15 rural roads are currently under construction across 17 Local Government Areas.
