South Africa: The ANC National Working Committee Statement On the Visit to the Limpopo Province

press release

The National Working Committee of the African National Congress has visited ANC branches in all the regions of the Limpopo province yesterday (27th January 2013). This exercise was undertaken to appraise the NWC on the state of organization throughout the province.

Today, the NWC had a joint meeting with the PEC to receive the reports from the branches. The province has been asked to go back and consider the report from the various meetings of branches and craft a written response to the matters raised by the branches. A follow up meeting will be scheduled within two to three weeks time to consider and discuss the issues raised by branches coupled with the response of the PEC in Limpopo.

Flowing from that meeting and discussion between the PEC and the NWC and owing to the urgency of the need to stabilize the province, the NWC will make recommendation to the NEC of the ANC, on how to resolve the political and organisational challenges in Limpopo.
