Nigeria: Gov. Orji Has No Plan to Print Presidential Posters - Official

Gov. Theodore Orji of Abia, said he has no plan to print and paste posters of any presidential aspirant, because the 2015 presidential election is still far from now

This is contained in a press statement made available to newsmen in Umuahia on Monday by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Ugochukwu Emezue.

Orji said that some of his political opponents were in the fore front of peddling the rumour in order to over hit the polity.

The statement said that government could not afford to waste its lean resources in such project at the expense of viable projects calling for attention in the state.

"Government cannot afford to waste the scarce resources that are being used to build legacy projects to print such posters.

"This type of antic is well known to Nigerians, desperate politicians do it to seek relevance and sympathy," he said.

According to the statement, the allegation is aimed at distracting the governor in onerous task of building lasting legacies for the people of the state.
