The Senate President, Senator David Mark, has expressed strong support for the proposed Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Property Tax and FCT Board of Internal Revenue Service Bills, adding that when passed into law by the National Assembly, it will expand revenue base, and increase the pace of infrastructural development in the Nation's Capital.
Mark stated this Monday while declaring open the Public Hearing of the National Assemble Joint Senate and House Committees on FCT on the Bills for Acts to establish the FCT Board of Internal Revenue Service and FCT Property Tax at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja.
He commended the FCT Administration's efforts to improve the lives of the residents, saying that the bills passage into law will mark a turning point in FCT's development as it will inject enough money to tackle the infrastructural challenges of the territory including in the Satellite Towns.
