Nigeria: Fire Destroys Parts of Gombe Varsity

Gombe — Early morning fire has destroyed six offices accommodating account and business administration department of the Gombe State University.
Speaking to our correspondent shortly after the incident, Vice Chancellor of the university Professor Abdullahi Mahdi said the fire was as a result of surge in electrical current from the affected offices.
Mahdi said the incident which occurred at about 9:30 am did not affect any records of the university and that there was no loss of life.
