Nigeria: Ashiru Joins Uch Board

Renowned fertility expert, Prof. Oladapo Ashiru has been appointed to the board of University Teaching Hospital, (UCH) Ibadan.

Prior to his appointment, Ashiru was a member of President Goodluck Jonathan's visiting panel to the 15 Federal Governments' hospitals.

Ashiru, who made record as the youngest professor of Medicine at the University of Lagos at age 32, has pioneered in several area of medicine from his work on FSH positive feedback to human in-vitro fertilisation, pre-implantation genetic screening for sickle cell/chromosomal abnormalities, and most recently the Modern-Mayr medicine.

He is also on the board of several medical international bodies and also an astute teacher and medical communicator. He is the founder and editor-in-chief of the reproductive health magazine.

Ashiru is currently an adjunct professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago and the chief executive officer of Medical ART Center and Mart-Life detox clinic. He, recently, was appointed as the chairman of the visitation panel to Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital in Sagamu.
