Nigeria: Keyamo Assures of Justice On Murder of Three

Uyo — Human rights lawyer, Mr. Festus Keyamo, has said that justice will surely prevail at the end of the day in the ongoing investigations over the gruesome murder of three brothers to Apostle Helen Ukpabio in Ini local government area of Akwa Ibom State.

The three brothers -Charles, Emmanuel and Joseph Akpabio, were last year murdered by suspected officers of the State Security Service (SSS) and the Nigeria police before the prying eyes of their mother, a development which allegedly sent their mother to untimely grave.

Speaking at the weekend during the burial of Madam Atim Essesien Akpabio and Elizabeth Essesien Akpabio, mother and sister of Apostle Ukpabio at Nkari, Keyemo said the process to justice will only take time but justice will prevail.

He said they have written several petitions to the police, SSS, the Senate, House of Representatives among others, and are waiting for the police to conclude investigations into the matter before other steps are taken to pursue the justice the family deserves.

"We have written several petitions to authorities concerned when this matter happened. We have written to the state Commissioner of Police, the SSS, house committee on public petitions, house committee on police affairs, senate committee on public petitions and police affairs and also to the police service commission.

Nobody has been charged to court yet", he said.
