Kapsin Promotions Sunday evening held a press conference ahead of the grand combat it is organising between veteran Ernes Jatta and Tass-sa-Yaram this Saturday at the Bundung Lower Basic School ground.

The two of the country's most famous wrestlers will come face-to-face on the day in the 'Boreh Door' which will precede the 'Mbabat' contest to be held between fifty and Guigi at the same place in Bundung. The combats organised by Kapsin Promotions is sponsored by Bayba Financial Services and will be held under the chief patronage of Sohna Awa Cham.

Speaking at the press conference, Muhammed Kabiru Mboob, the proprietor of Kapsin Promotions, thanked Bayba Financial Services for coming out to sponsor the event. He said that he decided to dedicate the combat to Awa Cham because she is like a sister to him. Habibou Nyassi, the secretary general of the Gambia Wrestling Federation, assured Kapsin Promotions of his association's support in the efforts to promote wrestling in the country. He nonetheless called for a collective effort for the development of the sport in the country, adding that individual contributions wouldn't take it forward.

Nyassi challenged others to emulate Muhammed Kabiru Mboob in order to develop wrestling, while assuring that his association's doors under the leadership of its president Matarr Jarjue will be open to anyone interested in promoting the sport.

Matarr Saine, the public relations officer of the Gambia Wrestling Federation, hailed the initiative of Kapsin Promotions while also assuring his association's support. He added that the future of Gambian wrestling is bright.
