Tass-sa-Yaram has described his opponent Ernes Jatta as an old foe that he will put in his place when the two face each other in a grand combat to be held at the Bundung Lower Basic School ground on Saturday. The wrestler was speaking at a press conference held Sunday evening at the Timeless Restaurant ahead of the 'fassa fass' (pre combat face-to-face).
Tass-sa-Yaram was asked why he is in the habit of running away from combats, but the lanky wrestler dismissed those claims as baseless. He said he has never shyed away from any combat but was quick to add that he will only fight with those he regard as wrestlers.
Reacting to his opponent in the firing line as they both prepare for what would be regarded as the fight of the year 2013 so far, Ernes Jatta, whose wrestling career spans nearly three decades dismissed Tass-sa-Yaram's claims that he is old. He added that anyone who believes that he is old and past his prime is only fooling himself and doing so at his own peril.
Ernes Jatta disclosed that Tass-sa-Yaram is his younger brother but because they will face off against each other on Saturday, all that will be put aside when they enter the arena. "(Tass-sa-Yaram) is my younger brother, I am related to his mother but all that will be put aside and after the combat when I bring him down, we will shake hands and move on," he added.
The two wrestlers will come face-to-face for the 'fassa fass' (pre combat face-to-face), on The Gambia Radio and Television Services (television) at 4pm Gambian time where they will take questions from the presenter ahead of the combat.
