Gambia: MOHSW Honours Crr Governor

The Ministry of Health and Social Welfare has awarded a certificate of appreciation to the governor of the Central River Region (CRR), Alhaji Ganyie Touray, for his immense contribution and support to the health sector.

Governor Touray was given the certificate during the Health minister's recent tour of health facilities across the country. Presenting the certificate, Matty Bouy, the permanent secretary, Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, said the CRR governor got the award in recognition of his contribution and support to the health sector at the regional level.

According to her, Governor Touray is always making the work of the health staff smooth and always support the activities of the Ministry at the region. She added that it was through his efforts, that the implementation of major health programmes in the region were successful.

Receiving the certificate, Governor Touray thanked the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare for the award, adding that supporting in the health delivery system in his region is his duty. He acknowledged that the sector has registered a lot of achievements in his region and assured the health authorities that he will continue to support them. He then commended the health workers in his region for their tireless efforts in the health delivery system.
