Gambia: PAC/PEC Defers Nawec Reports

Members of the Joint Session of the Public Account and Public Enterprise (PAC/PEC) Committee of the National Assembly Monday deferred the adoption of the activity reports and audited financial statements for the years ended 31st December 2010 and 2011 by the National Water and Electricity Company (NAWEC).

The Committee's decision came after NAWEC submitted only the 2010 report, resulting in the members deferring the report to the 2013 sittings when they are expected to present the 2010, 2011, and 2012 reports respectively.

Meanwhile, the University of The Gambia (UTG) and The Gambia College are expected to appear before the same Committee today, Tuesday, January 29th, 2013 to present their different annual activity reports and audited financial statements for the year ended 31st December 2011.
