The Cabinet approved on Monday 28/1/2013 amendments of Law 107 of 2012 to give army personnel the power to arrest civilians to restore security and protect state institutions.
The bill was applied during a referendum on the new constitution in December 2012 as the Armed Forces secured the electoral process.
