Gambia: 2013 NISA Hosted Championship Ends With Laurels for Participants

Defending champions Gambia Armed Forces male football team were crowned champions after beating GCAA 1-0 at the final of the 2013 NISA-hosted football tournament.

The competition featured the workers association from Senegal last Sunday at the Father Gough Mini Stadium in Manjai Kunda.

They were given cash prizes and trophy at the end of the competition.

They were also crowned champions after taking the trophy at the NISA 2012 competition held in Njobel, Senegal.

Likewise the Gambia Armed Forces female volleyball team defeated NDEA at their final clash.

The third place was secured by NDEA after defeating the Gambia Immigration Department.

In the Gamtel-sponsored marathon run, Mariama T. Jallow came out first at the run which took place from the Abuko Upper Basic School junction to Kairaba Avenue.

Samba Bah of the GID took second position and Andrew Jarju of the Police came out third.

Trophies and cash prizes were given to the champions and runners-up in series.
