Egypt: Health Ministry - 677 Injured, 7 Killed in Clashes

Spokesman for the Health Ministry Ahmed Omar said on Monday 27/1/2013 that as many as 37 people were injured during Monday's clashes in Egyptian governorates.

Most of the cases were discharged from hospitals, Omar said, adding that only 15 cases are still receiving treatment.

Omar said that at least 7 people were killed and 677 wounded during the period from 27/1/2013 until now in several areas in Egypt.

Five of the fatalities occurred in Port Said, the ministry said. Seventy-five of the injured are still being hospitalized, he added.
