Foreign affairs minister Given Lubinda will know his fate today when the Patriotic Front Central Committee meet to decide his recommended expulsion.
PF secretary general Wynter Kabimba, the architect of Lubinda's exit, has confirmed that the meeting to be chaired by President Michael Sata will be held today.
Lubinda is already serving suspension which State
House has disguised as annual leave. He is the only senior PF minister to go on leave since the party won their election in September 2011.
The Kabwata lawmaker is charged with treachery and disloyalty for allegedly leaking information to the opposition, online newspapers and the Daily Nation.
But PF sources say Lubinda is singled out by Kabimba and team for opposition their beid to unseat President Sata in the 2016 election. Lubinda is seen as a very strong and popular candidate among PF members of parliament.
