Kenya: I Shaved My Head for My Dad! - Stella Mwangi

Kenyan rapper based in Norway Stella Mwangi recently opened up about loosing her father and cutting off her hair.

In an interview with Norwegian's TV 2 Stella said her father was important to her and big supporter of her career. Losing him was tough, but she's glad for the time she got with him.

STL said that the hit and run driver who drove away from the scene of the fatal accident that took her fathers life was "not human".

Her father, Jeff Mwangi Kwirikia was killed in a hit and run accident in January 2012 in Norway.

"I have had the world's best dad. Really. He has taught me what I know today, and I think that there is not anyone who has had a father who meant so much. I have wonderful memories, and he is with me all the time. Meanwhile, I along with my family found a new strength after it happened," Stella said.

Asked about her new hair do, where she has leveled it all off in a short crop, the Bad As I Wanna Be star told Side 2 Publication that her father always told her she was so beautiful that she did not need to hide behind all the hair. She added that the change also symbolises her growth musically.
