Kenya: Pesa Blasts 'False Prophets'

The head of the Holy Ghost Coptic Church of Africa Rev John Pesa 1 said prophesies by some religoius leaders are a recipe for chaos.

Addressing the media at the church's headquarters in Kisumu at the Weekend, Pesa told such leaders to pray for peace after the elections.

"If some people have the powers to foresee violence after the March 4 polls, then why can't they pray for peace to prevail after the polls?" he posed.

He said such prophesies are likely to incite members of the public after the elections hence government authorities must not take them lightly.
