Rwanda: Ferwacy Gives Young Riders Vote of Confidence

Rwanda Cycling Federation will continue to use only young riders in the forthcoming Tour of Eritrea race scheduled for February 16 - 25.

According to officials in the Federation, the same team that took part in the just concluded La Tropicale Amissa Bongo in Gabon tour will take apart in Tour of Eritrea.

"We will be taking this same to team Tour of Eritrea with the exception of Valens Ndayisenga, who will be in South Africa. We're looking forward to building on the knowledge and experience these young riders got from Gabon," the officials said.

Valens Ndayisenga will be replaced by Gasore Hategeka. Others are Nathan Byukusenge, 33, Hassan Rukundo, 23, Bonaventure Uwizeyimana, 20, Jean Bosco Nsengiyumva, 20, and Jérémie Karegeya, 20.

"We need to continue use young riders in big competition as we want to raise the level of our cyclists, as we need to give them confidence and further their experience in international competitions," added the official.
