Rwanda: Police Rout Marines for Six

League leaders Police FC sent six past a hapless Marines side at Kicukiro turf yesterday, extending their chances of winning their first Primus National Football League title.

A brace from both Ernest Kwizera and Meddie Kagere and goals from Peter Kagabo and Jack Tuyisenge were more than enough to inflict the eleventh-placed side the heaviest defeat of the season.

The emphatic victory sees Police extend their lead the top of the standings with 32 points in 15 matches-with a six-point cushion ahead of Rayon Sport. Marines remain at eleventh position with 12 points.

Six matches are on card this afternoon with relegation battling side Etincelles hosting Musanze at Umuganda stadium as Isonga play host to Espoir at Kicukiro turf.

SC Kiyovu take on Amagaju at Mumena turf; AS Kigali face Rayon Sport away in Muhanga; Mukura host La Jeunesse at Kamena, while defending champions APR take on AS Muhanga at Stade de Kigali.
