Egypt: Military Source - Suez Canal Is Black Line

A Navy source stressed that any bid to interrupt traffic in the Suez Canal will be strongly confronted. The source said any attack attempt would be confronted with live ammunition.

More than 13 naval units equipped with different armaments are combing the Suez Canal waterway, the source confirmed, underlying that the Suez Canal is not a red line but a black line.

The source said future plans have been mapped out for dealing with any potential attack on the Canal. It further noted that the number of ships transiting the Canal did not decrease since the beginning of incidents and announcing the state of emergency.
