Angola: Cunene Province to Host Celebrations of Liberation War

Luanda — Southern Cunene province will host the central act of the 52th anniversary of the beginning of the liberation struggle against the then Portuguese regime, being commemorated under the motto lets honour our heroes serving the nation with loyalty, Angop has learnt.

Cunene governor, António Didalewa, said that the province is preparing itself to host the national act with proud, as the circumstances enable to show, through the media organs, ongoing touristic, economic and social projects.

On the occasion, the Governor underlined the importance of 4 de Fevereiro, that in his opinion marked the decisive phase of a route of the armed struggle against the Portuguese colonialist that ended with the proclaiming of Angola's independence on November 11, 1975.
