Nigeria: Pension Funds - EFCC Re-Arrests John Yakubu Yusufu

The EFCC has re-arrested Mr. John Yakubu Yusufu, who yesterday, confessed before an Abuja High Court that he connived with the others and stole only about N23 billion.

Mr. John Yakubu Yusufu was re-arrested Tuesday because there were other pending cases against him.

He was, however, sentenced Monday to two years imprisonment with an option of N750,000 fine

John Yakubu Yusufu is among the eight civil servants accused of complicity in the illegal diversion of over N40 billion from the Nigeria Police Pension Funds, .
