Nigeria: Ondo Tribunal - CPC Governorship Candidate, Journalists Barred

Akure — The governorship candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, Prince Soji Ehinlanwo was barred by State Security Service, SSS from gaining entry into the court during the election tribunal hearing on Tuesday.

Apart from Ehinlanwo, journalists were also barred from covering the court proceedings.

A few journalists, who entered the court session only gained entry after battling security agents.

As early as 8 am, the SSS men were already on ground at the premises, screening a few party supporters.

Ehinlanwo who was manhandled by security men eventually got himself in with intervention of his lawyer, Barrister Segun Ogodo.
